speaklightly - (August 21, 2004) As a professional digital camera lecturer, I must admit that the Fuji E-550 was a very pleasant surprise for me. Priced at about $340, this digital camera produced digital photos that were much sharper, more detailed, and more excellent than I, frankly expected. I found the digital camera very easy to use right out of the box. While this digital camera does have a 12mp interpolated image size available, I found the 6mp native image size to have more contrast, detail and resolution. As you might expect in a consumer digital camera, the digital camera's flash is not very powerful. At 200 ISO it will produce excellent exposures out to 13 feet. By adding a supplementary slave flash such as

snufalufagus1 - (September 24, 2004) I spent a LOT of time investigating digital cameras online -one would think I was buying a car or something. Anyway I am a novice camera user and remain very impressed with this little guy. I would certainly recommend it. The movie mode is great for 'vignettes' or small movie snapshots. I also use the black and white a lot. I also didn't think the LCD would matter very much, but it does: I never use the viewfinder. I appreciate the large size of the LCD when passing the camera around to friends to view pictures and movies. Hint #1: Immediately jack up the megapixel resolution to 5 so that you can capture moments in the best resolution possible. Then, bypass Sony's ridiculous profit margin

joysmahal - (October 27, 2004) This camera is awesome. I upgraded from a Canon A70 and it was well worth the money. The Canon A95 uses 4 AA bateries, but it eats through normal alkalines way too fast. I highly recommend getting rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and a quick charger. The swivel screen is a major plus, it's 1.8" compared to 1.5" from the Canon A70. The screen is also higher resolution than the A70. I have used the camera for 3 weeks and printed about 50 pics so far. The pics look great and I even cropped to zoom in on some pictures and you couldn't see any sign of pixelation. I love the manual flexibility with this camera, plus the automatic modes make it easy for anyone to use. The camera

Nikon 18-200mm DX VRII from 42nd st photo
dongyi - (11/29/2009) What I want to say about 42nd st photo is that they would do everything to satisfy you! Before I purchased my gears online, I did have some research on the reputation of several online dealers, among them, 42nd st photo definitely have the best unbeatable price. Like everyone who would like the best deal, I went for the best price. But I have to admit it that I was a bit concerned that the lowest price might come along with the compromise of quality and service. Right after my gears (a camera body of D90 and a Nikon 18-200mm DX lens VRII) arrived, I asked my friend, who is a semi-professional to check the quality of the arrived gears. He gave me positive feedback after taking several pics and playing around with the aperture ring of my lens. In fact, we even tested the typical creeping problem commonly found in the first version of this Nikon 18-200mm DX lens, which fortunately is no longer present in the 2nd version I purchased. My friend didn`t believe how much I paid for my gears, and since I was very satisfied with the price and quality I got from 42nd st photo that I turned on my laptop and show him the website. He was surprised and I was surprised as well. The reason was that the price for the lens I just purchased shown on the website just went down for a further $30 dollars. Well, I felt a bit unlucky at that moment just like everyone would. I then wrote an email to the custom service of 42nd st photo and didn`t quite expect it that a representative named Junior would reply so fast. In fact, he even called me before his email but I missed it since I was travelling overseas and forwarded all my incoming call to my friend`s cell phone. He requested a contact number that he could reach me in the email and said that he would call me the next day. That was exactly what he did. He made an international call! He asked me if I was satisfied with purchase and if all my gears arrived safe and sound. You know, those questions you would get from a well-trained professional and at the same time feeling their care about you. He told me that he would be more than happy to credit me back the $30 dollars!!! I was so happy to hear that. This is what I believe every customer is looking for in a great service. Needless to say, I would recommend 42nd st photo to all my friends who want to get good price as well as trustable service. Their price is unbeatable and their service is beyond expectation! The reason I am spending my time to write this long review is that I was touched by Junior, the awesome representative from 42nd st photo. He made me feel that I wasn`t just doing business with them, but as he described,‘You take care of me, I take care of you’. I`ll write another review and let those still doubt about their service be convinced once I get the $30 back on my credit card.

jbrorsen - (11/29/2009) For under $100, I think this is a great deal. Nikon makes a great product and is a very solid brand. Read one review that was pretty negative, perhaps they got a bum unit.

Can you use this for bulb exposure
megorocks - (11/27/2009) I really need a cable release for my nikon D60, but it isnt compatible. I need to be able to operate the bulb exposure mode without actually touching the camera, to avoid camera shake. If i use this, will i be able to simply hold the button down on the remote, then release it when i want the shutter to close
